Beach party challenge at decorate to celebrate

hope you can join us for a fun challenge, Its all about beach fun. Toay I have made a beach bag starting with a cracker box covering with paper of choice added a sandcastle on front and added working handle with brads. The glasses hanging from it are cut from lifes a party cart. cut them at 2in and hung on bag. There is also a pocket on front for a gift card or money for the person getting the gift. The beach ball is 7 lg leafs hooked together with brads and 2 in circles for the top of ball the inside will hold bag of candy. the flip flops are cut from lifes a beach cart at 5in and are candy sliders the bottom of them holds the candy. mini album I made for a b-day gift

 My gd is invited to her little friends b-day and she loves barbies  so I decided to make a purse mini for her I got the concept of using a real purse handle from kathy orta so I cant take credit for that. I made the purse using a box and simply cutting sides out thats it. It is latched with heavy duty magnets and the little things hanging from handle are hair ties.

 here is a side view of what the purse looks like

 now the really fun part decorating the inside anyway you please. the pocket you see on the right is a french frie style box and made a fingernail mini album to put inside it and the doll beside her on left is a book mark.the other mini book is attached to the handle with book rings added little phrases on the bottom of each one

cally anns mini album she won for graduation challenge at dtc.

 sorry I havent been around much, my life has taken a step back, I want to thank all you dear friends for praying and caring for me and my family. We will be fine but not easy. On a happier note cally ann wanted a fat orange owl mini album for her win. I hope she likes this. I have already mailed it out cally. why I havent been doing much

sorry I havent posted in a few days or week. My youngest son and his girlfriend had a baby girl on may 10th, and it passed away today. I am super sad but am happy I have two of the most beautiful granddaughters in the world. She had lots of problems so I believe she is in a much better place with my grandson who passed away in 2008. Love all of ya I am doing fine just wanted to let you know. hugs

all about dad challenge at decorate to celebrate

 welcome to another challenge at http://www.decoratetocelebrate.blogspot.com/ Its all about dad. Today I made this grill gift box the lid lifts off and I have filled with spices for bbqing. I used a round box I had laying around the house. covered in black cardstock bottom and sides of lid. the covered top with orange and the grill is in gray used coasters to make the hamburger meat and covered in yellow squares for the cheese on top the hot dog is a toy. for the oven mitt and utencils i cut at 4in using the block party cart. i used bottle caps for the knobs and spelled out dad. legs are toiled paper rolls cut down and wrapped in blk also.

 not sure why picture is sideways lol but you can see the over mitt hanging on grill
