second day april 16th of basket case blog hop

welcome to the second and last day of hop I hope you had fun on the first day. I am offering blog candy again today but it is at the bottom of this post. NOw onto my project. this is a easter basket for my girly girl gd. she is four. I have instructions step by step feel free to make one for someone special this easter. hugs now lets get to the instructions
the cart used paisley cart - purse no.3 cut 2 at 8 in in blk out. then cover a sweet n low box with cardstock for strength any color is fine
I chose this brown it is heavy and you wont see it anyway.
now on your blk out draw and mark off so you can do in different colors on your basket
heres what it looks like
here it is glued on purse I embossed before I glued the pieces on
then glue front and back onto box
pieces of the rabbit cut from george. cut 3 in circle, 2 in circle and 1 in circle 3/4 in circle

3 in oval 2in oval now assemble your rabbit and glue to bottom of purse. flower on front of purse is made with forever young cart.
blog candy stamp inks and clear stamps will pick a winner sunday and announce. just leave comment and become a follower if you arent already. real easy.

basket case blog hop is here along with all critter blog hop

welcome to my first blog hop to host. I am offering this chick mini album for the blog candy just leave comment and become a follower if you not already will pick winner sat because I have blog candy for sat also. the 16th of april my hop is friday and sat. so you have plenty of time to hop and visit everyone.
here is the backside of the chick mini. all tailfeathers. ha now onto my basket.
this is my minnie basket. I used mickey and friends cart with george cart. I started with two mcdonalds happy meal boxes glued two together for strength and covered inside and out with paper. for minnie I cut at 10 in added nose and eyes from george cart oval cut at 3in eyes 2 in ovals and circles. eggs are ovals cut at 3in I cut the chocolate bunny she is eating from celebrate the flourish cut at 3in and cut with scallop punch to look like minnie is taking a bite. made a real strong handle and this made a perfect basket for easter hunting really strong.
here is a side view. Now arent you excited to see the rest of the talented ladies. Many ideas and plenty of time to make them just before easter. Now heres a list of the talented ladies on the hop

All critters great and small blog hop

welcome to the all creatures blog hop hosted by misty. I am really happy to be invited on the hop. this hop is for our heros they are needing some ideas to send cards and such to their children. All these projects through the hop will be kid friendly sure to cheer up a little one. This skunk mini is the blog candy for this hop. wanted to match the critter theme. so just leave a comment and follower if you are not already. Also today I am hosting my own blog hop basket case blog hop so make sure you scroll down to visit both hops. You wont want to miss all the talent and ideas. I will pick winner sat 16th for this mini so make sure to leave someway to get ahold of you. this critter hop is just for one day april 15th my hop easter basket case hop is 15th and 16th so lets get onto the project I have made. this is the back of the mini says you have reached the stinking end. ha
my project is this lion note holder
start with 8 and a half by 11 in cardstock
fold in half and open up
now 2 and a half from bottom fold up. set aside for now
lets make the note cards start with 4 in square then a wht 3 in square and a strip for top cut 4in by 1in
glue together should look like picture above
now back to the cover glue a piece of ribbon in center only
close then punch a hole at the end
now thread the ribbon through holes
now onto the lions on top of notecards you will need a 2 in scallop cut for lion mane, 1 and a half circle cut for head and 3/4 in for lions nose after lion is made glue to top of note card
here is what it should look like it will only fit 2 on each side with envelopes this will fold perfectly
now for the front cover. I love making animals out of shapes from george cart. to make this lion you need to cute circle for head at 3in and for raised nose area cut 2in circles and for nose cut oval at 3in for the mane just take scraps and cut in different sizes glue these on first then the lion head. I hope you found this helpful and enjoy making these cute little note holders you can make them in so many themes. fun fun fun.
